Community Involvement

Vizo Financial continues to make a positive difference in our local communities. So far this year, Vizo Financial has participated in numerous efforts including:

FUN Day Food Drive
Throughout March, Vizo Financial employees at all campuses were invited to support various food and supply drives that benefit our local communities. Virtual food drives were set up online to collect monetary donations, and employees donated physical items and food at the staff FUN Day on March 20. A total of $2,610.63 was also raised for our food bank neighbors across all campus locations.

Financial Reality Fairs
Financial reality fairs are an interactive, hands-on financial exercise that allows students to identify their career choice and starting salaries before completing a budget sheet, requiring them to live within their monthly salary while paying for basics such as housing, utilities, transportation, clothing and food. Additional expenditures such as entertainment and travel are factored in as well.

• On February 25, one staff member volunteered at the Financial Reality Fair hosted by Belco Community CU at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa.
• On March 31, three employees volunteered at the Financial Reality Fair hosted by Belco Community CU at Newport High School in Newport, Pa.

Love the Hill - Business Day Out
In April, several Vizo Financial employees volunteered with Love the Hill in Harrisburg, Pa. for Business Day Out, an inner-city initiative for one of Harrisburg’s most needy neighborhoods where volunteers take part in the clean-up event.

Employment Skills Center Annual Fundraising Race
A Vizo Financial employee utilized their CVL recently to support the Employment Skills Center during their annual 1-mile race. The Employment Skills Center empowers adults in south central Pennsylvania through education, job and life skills training and additional support to reach their goals, and this event raises funds for the center's programming. This was the 15th year for the race and nearly 900 runners and walkers participated. Volunteer support was needed for delivering letters to the community, race packet pick up, participant support, and a lot of set up and tear down of the event.

Manada Conservancy’s Annual Fundraising Appeal
A few Vizo Employees volunteered to assist Manada Conservancy’s annual fundraising appeal. Manada Conservancy is a land trust dedicated to preserving the natural, historic, agricultural and scenic resources of Dauphin County through land conservation, environmental education, and community engagement. This is the conservancy's largest fundraiser of the year aimed at securing donations from existing and potential donors.

Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals Telethon for Penn State Health Children’s Hospital
In June, two Vizo Financial employees attended Children Miracle Network's 42nd annual telethon viewing party in Harrisburg, Pa. in support of our ongoing sponsorship with CMN Hospitals. The evening event was held to coincide with WGAL's live broadcast of the telethon finale. Several CMN's top supporters and miracle families were in attendance for the reveal of the final total, which was over $321,490.

2026 Walk for Children’s event for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
Several Vizo Financial employees participated in the 11th annual Walk for Children's event to benefit Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The walk brought over 3,600 walkers and teams of families, physicians, employees, community members, and corporate partners to celebrate, honor, and support the kids and families that are cared for at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. This annual event provides in-person and virtual walk options to further the healing care and innovative programs that are changing lives at Children's. The Corporate's sponsorship and staff donations contributed to a grand total of $1,138,504.74 raised by all participants. Funds raised help to ensure every child and family in the region has access to care that will give them a fighting chance.

Upcoming: Victory Junction
Vizo Financial is once again proud to sponsor the Run to Victory annual 5k and fun run event to benefit Victory Junction on September12, 2026. The event will be held in-person at Victory Junction in Randleman, N.C., as well as virtually. Victory Junction serves children dealing with serious medical conditions and chronic illnesses. Their mission is to enrich the lives of children with serious illnesses by providing life-changing camp experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, at no cost to children or their families.
