A Message from Vizo Financial’s president/CEO,
Fred Eisel
Welcome to 2026! Boy, has the last year flown by quickly! It feels like it was only yesterday we were talking about warmer temperatures and the start of the summer vacations. As we begin a new year and start implementing our plans for the future, it makes me think about how much I appreciate every one of you, our members, each day.
It’s true that 2025 was filled with plenty of challenges and waves of chaos, but we met them head on, accomplished a lot and have the privilege of starting out the new year on a very strong note. Our financial position remains solid, which allowed us to pay a strong PCC rate of 10 percent to our members and an incredible 75 percent giveback through our Member Incentive Credit (MIC) program in December, which totaled over $4.8 million for our credit unions. We were pleased to hear from many of you just how much this giveback meant, and we’re honored to show you how much we value your membership.
On another positive note, we topped our member survey results from last year, setting a new record for member satisfaction. Our goal is always to provide top-notch service and support to credit unions, and I’m thrilled to see that our efforts are paying off. Accelerating credit union success is at the heart of everything we do, so I love hearing that we’re meeting or even exceeding your expectations!
As we move into 2026, we will be focused on addressing your strategic goals and pain points with our products and services. While we feel it is important to give back to our credit unions in the way of competitive rates and a very generous member incentive credit, we believe it is equally important to invest a portion of your capital with an eye to the future. Member growth and risk management will continue to be top-of-mind, and we will soon be introducing some forward-facing, value-added solutions that will help credit unions to improve and expand. You’ll hear more about these solutions throughout the year – I hope you’re as excited for them as we are!
Ultimately, I want to wish you all a heartfelt THANK YOU for everything you do to support the Corporate, your members/communities and our movement! I know our partnership will continue to bring us all good things in the year ahead.
And with that, I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year!
The new year is a time to refresh and refocus, so we encourage you to familiarize yourself (again!) with the reminders below, review your information and make any changes as necessary. Do these now to position your credit union for success and a smooth year ahead in 2026!
Wire Limits
Your credit union’s wire limits can be a major risk exposure to financial losses. Having your wire limits set too high can expose your credit union to additional unnecessary losses in the event of a fraudulent transaction, which are on the rise. Vizo Financial strongly recommends that credit unions periodically review their wire history to confirm their wire limits with the Corporate are set to realistic levels, and the new year is a perfect time to do that.
Say your credit union has a total daily wire limit of $500,000 but has not wired more than $100,000 in a day over the past year. It would be beneficial for your institution to consider reducing your daily wire limit to lower your exposure from the potential of $400,000 in fraudulent transactions. Your credit union should also review the individual limits of each staff member with wire access.
In addition, please review who at the credit union has wire access and delete any individuals who are no longer employed at the credit union or should no longer have wire permissions.
Authorized Signers
Now is the perfect time to review your authorized signers. These are the people who are permitted to sign documents on behalf of the credit union for corporate forms and agreements, as well as account closure requests. To determine who is an authorized signer for your credit union, please review your copy of the Corporate Signature Authorization Form. If you need a copy, please contact our member services department.
If you need to make any updates to your authorized signers, we ask that you please fill out a new Signature Authority Certification Form, which can be obtained from the Forms section in Zephyr, or from our member services department. The new form will override any existing forms. Please return the completed form via email at msr@vfccu.org.
Zephyr Administrator Roles & Responsibilities
The new year is a good time to review your list of Zephyr administrators, and revisit the responsibilities and expectations associated with this role. Zephyr admins are the credit union's main person(s) who create and maintain Zephyr users for the institution. Zephyr admins have the highest level of authority within the Zephyr system. They are responsible for adding new users, updating additional users, setting/updating permissions, resetting user passwords, unlocking user accounts and reactivating/deactivating/removing inactive users. As a reminder, each credit union needs a minimum of three Zephyr admins in order to make changes to roles and permissions of Zephyr users.
Vizo Financial and MY CU Services staff are not able to assist with these requests. This is designed to allow your credit union to maintain and monitor your Zephyr users without having to go through the Corporate. Therefore, if one of your credit union's users needs assistance with their Zephyr account or login, that person will need to contact your Zephyr admin(s) directly.
Zephyr User Permissions
We recommend performing a quick review of the Zephyr user permissions you’ve put in place for your credit union team members. If there is the potential that staff will need to perform Zephyr-related functions that they don’t normally handle due to an emergency situation, it would be advisable to grant those staff members the permissions and access they’ll need in advance.
Please keep in mind that permission changes require dual authentication from two Zephyr administrators. If connectivity becomes a problem and two are not available, you may be unable to provide new permissions to your users when needed.
For questions about any of these items, please contact us at (800) 622-7494.
The holidays and end-of-year tasks have kept us all busy for the last several weeks, so it’s probably safe to say it’s been a while since you last updated your notification profile. Do you know what that means? Now is the perfect time to make any updates and additions!
Why is it important to keep your profile up to date?
There are many reasons to revisit your profile periodically. Here are just a few:
How can you manage your profile?
If you already have a profile, click the Manage Preferences link at the bottom of any Vizo Financial or MY CU Services email. It will redirect you to your profile, where your contact information will be pre-populated and current notification lists will be checked. Update information and select any additional lists as necessary.

If you don’t have an existing notification profile, visit our website and scroll to the bottom of the screen. Click the Subscribe button, which will take you to our notification system. From here, enter your contact information and select any notification lists that you would like to subscribe to.

What notification lists are available?
What else do I need to do to receive notifications from the Corporate?
We encourage you to add the following IP addresses to your safe sender list to ensure that you receive communications from our notification system, and so they don't get lost in spam or get rejected from your email application:
We look forward to communicating with you in 2026!
Card fraud and account fraud
Changing regulations
Cybersecurity
Compliance is always a burden
Email spoofing

Could 2026 be the year of member growth? Based on what we’ve heard from credit unions, the answer is undoubtedly…YES!
In our member survey last year, we asked about top priorities for credit unions in 2026 and of the 213 respondents who answered this question, 162 stated that member growth made the list. That’s a whopping 76 percent!
Luckily, Vizo Financial is already prepared to help your credit union put that priority on the fast track! In 2025, we partnered with Vertice AI to offer a member growth solution that reduces churn, leverages data-driven insights through advanced analytics AND is brought to you by trusted, dependable credit union cooperatives.

Read our case study with Duke University FCU to see how this solution worked for them, and maybe even give you a glimpse of how it could work for you too.
Dozens of our credit unions have already committed to growing their membership through the Vertice AI solution in 2026. Will you be the next?
